MY TURN!!!

Time for me to do a 'one of these'.

I have been having a go on Neutral Milk Hotel's album "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea". I'm not claiming to be the discoverer of what turns out to be a tremendously popular and widely critically acclaimed album. However, I am claiming to have found my FAVOURITE ALBUM I HAVE HEARD FOR AGES, a questionable honour for it but an honour nonetheless.

According to my friend (and Wikipedia) it is "a spiritually motivated work conceptually based on the beauty to be found in the horrific fate of Anne Frank." Having understood that I've found that it has the best lyrics of anything ever made.

The album is an absolute ZINGER.
